Our club will be headed to the annual New York District Large Scale Service Project (DLSSP) which is taking place this year at Kamp Kiwanis in Taberg, NY. We will be organizing transportation for our club, and will most likely be leaving Friday, Sep 12th around 2:00 pm, and returning on Sunday, Sep 14th around 2:00 pm. Registration will cost $25.00, per member, for the weekend, and must be paid upon arrival on Friday. The registration fee includes food for the entire weekend and cabins for us to sleep in.You can read more about DLSSP here. Also, you must register online if you plan to attend, but please only register if you know you will definitely be attending. We will be discussing DLSSP in greater detail at our two meetings prior to the event.
We will be volunteering with the Broome County Day of Caring at the Endicott Visitor's Center located at 300 Lincoln in Endicott on Sep 6th from 1pm to 4pm. We will being helping complete their Interior Painting Project. If you definitely plan on attending, please reply with your T-Shirt size bynight, so we can have the shirts in time for the event!
We will be having our first GIM for the semester on Thursday, September 4th at 7:00pm in UU206. There will also be a second GIM the following Thursday. Look forward to fun in-meeting service projects and fun activities!
